I’m not a big fan of crotch rockets. But, you’ve really got to appreciate the guys who can burn some serious rubber on the track on one of these things. As much as I hate to say it, these guys can pull the kind of tricks, we guys on our cruisers can only dream of. I’m not saying that’s the kind of riding most of us are into, anyway. But the things these guys do is absolutely magnificent!
One of the common tricks done by guys burning rubber on the track is “knee-dragging”.
To someone who has just started writing, this maneuver seems nothing short of a miracle. However, give the right training and practice, it’s not all THAT hard to do! Motorcycle racers often rely on the technique to lean so far down close to the tarmac to navigate a curve in the fastest time possible.
The trickiest part about the trick is to maintain the right balance.
Too little lean, and you find yourself flying out of the corner when you don’t want to, and too much, and you find yourself crashing on the tarmac. However, this guy managed something which seems to defy all logic and sense.
He leaned so far down, that he was literally “on” the tarmac.
He LITERALLY dragged his helmet on the tarmac! Yet, he somehow managed not to crash! Now, I’m not sure if all THAT much lean was needed to navigate the curve, or it was just a stunt he pulled, but it was pretty darn cool! You really need to give it a watch and share it with all your friends!
